“Pretty comprehensive course content. The manual is informative and written in simple language which is easy to follow. It makes for interesting reading and doesn’t get heavy and full of unnecessary jargon. It is well structured and covers quite a wide range of information on the subject. The specific instructions on where to go/what to bring and other such details for the course are very helpful.
The CD is a brilliant tool as I used to listen to the first 6 bits of it while driving before I had attended the course. On a day when I hadn’t the chance to read up… this made up for it. The Hatsurei and self-treatment meditations are invaluable and I am using them every day. They help me to focus on what needs to be done without having to remember or turn pages of a manual. The music is relaxing but powerful, it helps me concentrate. Your voice on the CD guiding us is comforting and peaceful.
The course day itself was lovely. It was very calming and relaxing. It did leave me with the “Reiki Effect”. Sue is a good teacher and delivered the course with all the gravity of the situation, yet making us feel that it was fun and we’d enjoyed ourselves. As a result although we covered a lot in the day, it didn’t seem like that on the day itself. Sue inspired confidence with her gentle reassuring ways. She took time to clarify our doubts and to give us simple practical tips and suggestions which I have found useful. Every subject was approached with such simple honesty and integrity by Sue that she just automatically inspired me to believe.
The really nice surprise is the support offered after the course. I am happy that I can get in touch with Sue or yourself to clarify doubts/get guidance. I have got in touch with Sue since and she has been very helpful and informative. I find her open mindedness and non dogmatic approach very liberating and comforting. She makes me want to go forth with Reiki with confidence.

“I thoroughly enjoyed the day at the course and felt refreshed and renewed in my Reiki.
Although there was an obvious structure to the day, Sue’s willingness to adapt and be flexible made it more satisfying then if we had to rigidly stick to the plan. The instructions were given very simply and yet there was a wealth of knowledge imparted. The presentation of the course was excellent, one could tell it had been well organised and thought through – it made the day lively and enjoyable along with the learning that was taking place.
The manual which is well written and very comprehensive and the CDs are very useful tools. And although the administrative side of the way the whole course is put together from the time you book ‘til the time you finish and after actually, is very efficient – the fact that one hardly notices anything/that it is all so seamless, everything one may need is already thought of.

“After studying Reiki 1 with a Western-style Master, Reiki Evolution has been a breath of fresh air. Thank you! The study materials are clear, well presented and comprehensive. I found it beneficial to be able to work through them thoroughly at my own pace before the course, particularly the symbols. How can anyone learn them properly in a day! The meditation CD is wonderful and has become central to my daily practice. I like the simplicity of the approach, the emphasis on Reiki as a spiritual path and grounding in mindfulness. With all the rules and dogma which surround Reiki elsewhere it was very liberating to be encouraged to develop my intuition. Sue was welcoming and empathetic. There was plenty of opportunity to ask questions and share our experiences. Sue was very affirming, building our confidence rather than imposing her views. “When I first met Sue Norman at her venue, I was pleased to be welcomed by her friendly and professional manner when I entered her serene and refreshing environment in readiness for my Reiki I live training. I was particularly impressed with Sue’s patience and understanding with me as I was still not feeling too well getting over the ‘flu. When I expressed my concern via email about striving to be up-to-the minute with my studies beforehand, Sue’s quick response and calm reassurance allayed any concerns I had about the training. I was soon put at ease and happy to be part of a small group of students that I got on very well with and with one-to-one guidance from a very confident and compassionate teacher.
The course materials are a joy and I often refer to them for daily guidance and inspiration. The manual is carefully written in a simplistic manner in conjunction with the audio CDs which gently transmit the same relaxed and meditative atmosphere that I experienced on the live course. By the end of the course I was truly transfixed into the Reiki mindset and I did not want it to end. Learning to share and channel energy in a small group was an amazing and uplifting experience. I am now aware of my ability to ‘feel’ Reiki which has enhanced my already intuitive mind. What a wonderful state of illumination.
Following the Reiki I course, I have understood more about the complexities of other belief systems as well as my own. And although I was somewhat sceptical during my young and strict upbringing with my usual flair to question everything, ironically, Reiki has persuaded me to revisit my spiritual foundations but, to think and work with the enlightened perspective that we are all beings of the same source no matter who or what our cultural differences are.
Feeling fresh in my mind I can use it to help people to feel good, ease some form of pain if I can and to de-stress. So far I have practised Reiki on a number of friends and I have had a good positive response from all of them. Each one has helped me to benefit too through a deeper understanding of them as well as myself. This is the path I want to follow. If Reiki I has opened my eyes to the invaluable gift of channelling universal energy, I can’t wait to take Reiki II, experience the next dimension and to make it my life’s work.
I look forward to achieving Reiki II in the next couple of months and to continue working with the high standards and easy going style that is already part of Sue Norman’s practice. I don’t think I would want to change anything about the way Sue conducts her practice because I believe to do so would diminish the personal and distinctive touch that she so warmly offers. It has taken me a number of years to find the right kind of Reiki for me, thinking about Reiki, researching it and to decide whether to be part of it. Eventually my aim was to follow the roots of Reiki with compassion which your web site, compared with others, gave me the inspiration to feel at home with. "I received my certificate yesterday and wanted to provide some feedback as requested.
Since falling ill with Bell's Palsy in September 2006 I have been striving to help myself be me; the illness left me lacking in energy and enthusiasm. I have been having Reiki treatments since April, and the difference it has made has been considerable. The improvement to my energy levels, that my face now feels whole again, and general sense of being me again have been joyful.
Because of this I wanted to know more about Reiki. I looked at a number of websites, the simple and common sense way in which your website described Reiki, combined with the realisation it wasn't something that was just for treating other people, prompted me to take the First Degree course. I thought that having the study material before the course would be beneficial as taking everything in in a short space of time can be challenging, and I would be able to learn at my own pace.
Both the CD and the handbook were easy to use, clear and are still helping me since the course. It has made remembering everything easier, because I know I can look it up if I need to.
I really enjoyed the day course. Sue was very calm and talked us through everything so well, made it easy to understand. She was also very good at letting us ask questions as they came up, and explaining how each of our reactions were 'normal' even though individually they were very different.
The empowerment's gave me a real sense of being grounded and as light as a feather simultaneously.
I left the course with a wonderful feeling of peace and togetherness which has seen me through a stressful week at work, being topped up with the daily meditations. The community feel on your discussion group and the openness of everyone to queries and requests for healing is so pleasing; it is nice to know I need not feel alone if I struggle to remember anything or want to know more.

"Having completed the RMT course yesterday, I want to thank both of you for the wonderful experience these last three months have been.
The excellent course material and the well laid out pre-course learning plan were a great help to me. The plan gave me a very clear sense of direction and I knew I was on the right track with my pre-couse work. The course itself I can't really praise enough. I cannot think of anybody who will find it difficult to learn from it as it covers probably any style of learning each individual may be comfortable with.
Also, the pre-course work is an excellent idea as it wastes no time during the course itself and one knows what to expect on the course days.

It certainly met my expectations, I believe I mentioned to you that I was very disappointed in a Reiki 3 course I took elsewhere which only had myself and one other person on. "I booked through you to go to Sue Norman in Woking and although I am a very sceptical person, weary of anything I have not experienced for myself, I’ve also seen enough in my 33 years of Martial Arts training, to be open minded enough to reach out to new experiences. I wanted to do the course, not as a de-bunker, but with a genuine interest in the system, already understanding much about the culture, history and practices of Japan at the time through my studies in Martial Arts.
Feeling a bit groggy from my youngest daughters’ shared cold, I found Sue was very welcoming, calming, informative, patient, helpful and open throughout the whole day.
I have been a teacher in mainstream education as well as within the Martial Arts, so can comment with some professional bias, that Sue’s teaching skills are first class.
In fact, I would say that largely due to the satisfaction I felt with the course and Sue’s instruction, I will have no hesitation in booking a course for Reiki 2.
I have had experience of meditation many times in the past, but as for Reiki, I had only experienced it once before – with no bells or whistles! to help treat a physical injury, so my scepticism remained. I also couldn’t understand how or why people often spoke of seeing colours etc.
When I received my first Reiju empowerment on Saturday, I just wanted to laugh, I didn’t, but what I wanted to laugh at was the fact that, as sceptical as I am, I WAS seeing colours. Huge washes of lilac/lavender with gold edges not only in front of me, but emanating from whatever side Sue was standing on at the time. Nothing new for you or anyone else who’s already into Reiki, but quite strange and at the same time reassuring for me and funny that it had ‘caught me unawares’. Couple that with the fact that I could feel the energy from my hands at a greater distance than ever before, the actual physical feeling when touching someone’s energy field and their comments of when I made contact whilst scanning, it made for a very interesting and exciting day of new experiences.
I am so glad I booked the course. I have thought about it many times over the past few years, but was drawn to your site on a web search and I just knew it would be the right course for me.

"Before embarking on my Reiki journey I searched the web for establishments offering courses which would fit my needs. There were far more than I anticipated but many could be discounted as it was obvious that there was little content involved. The more I looked the more I returned to RE and so my “intuition” made the decision for me.
I have now successfully completed 2nd Degree and the course material for this and also that of the 1st Degree is superb – extremely comprehensive and you must be congratulated on achieving this. To link the manuals with the CD’s is brilliant, it reinforces everything. I particularly like the comparison between Japanese Reiki and Western Reiki.
Sue Norman has set up a relaxing environment in her rooms in Woking. "I was looking forward to attending the 2nd Degree course as I had had such a great experience on the 1st.
The course materials sent well in advance of the live course were again, invaluable and of great help.
It meant that I had a deeper understanding of what to expect, how to approach the different aspects of 2nd Degree and also, having time to memorise the names and how to draw the symbols for 2nd Degree, which by the time of getting to the live course, I was quite comfortable with reciting and drawing from memory.
The CD was, again, most helpful in reaffirming the foundation of Reiki as well as enabling me to understand more about how I could advance my Reiki techniques and practices. In conjunction with the Meditations CD I received for the 1st Degree course, these 2 really remain such a core part of my knowledge and practices within Reiki today.

I would have no hesitation in booking the RMT course given the positive feelings and professionalism I have had from the first 2 courses, however, what I have learned from Reiki 2 and my treatments on people since then, have made me understand just how much more time I need to further develop my Reiki and I am completely satisfied with accepting this path that I am now on, regardless of it’s length and am just enjoying the scenery along the way!
