We have set ourselves high standards and want to make sure that our students are happy with their training, and soliciting feedback is a good way of making sure that we are on track. "I had an absolutely lovely, enjoyable day. The friendly, informal atmosphere of the course provided lots of opportunity to ask questions and enter into discussions about Reiki as well as horses. Everybody was very keen: even in the cold and wet weather we did three sessions outdoors - that should prove something!
The horses were amazingly "cooperative" and I hope they did benefit from our presence as much as we did from theirs! Sarah's experience and confidence with them made me feel confident as well, and Vicky's invaluable help also seemed vital to the success of our day.
At all times I felt well looked after and there was always someone at hand to turn to. Help appeared even without asking. I found it very useful to learn about a good and practical approach in treating horses and also learned a lot from the other participants experiences on the day.
How lucky these horses are to have such a good home - and I personally wouldn't mind spending lots of Sundays like this! Thankyou again to Sarah and family."

"I have only recently started with Reiki and after finishing the First Degree was not quite sure how effective my practising Reiki on horses would be. I needn't have worried. So far I had my most amazing experiences with Reiki on the day of the Basic Equine Reiki Course.
The pre-course materials were a great help to get me prepared in respect of how to apply Reiki to a horse and which hand positions to use. Still there was the question of how different horses would react, especially not so friendly ones. I was therefore glad to see that it was not necessary to stick to hands on treatments in such cases and that other methods are available and just as effective.
I thought that the horses at the Epona Equine Reiki Centre were very well chosen to practise each method on. The horses we were paired with to apply the hands on treatment to were very well behaved. Even the non-horsey participants had no problems dealing with their horses after an introduction into horse handling. And if anyone was unsure there was always expert help and advice at hand.
I had my most impressive and rewarding experience while giving Reiki to a foal, who had become upset due to other horses being moved and was trying to jump over the stable door, as soon as I began the treatment he became absolutely still and even fell asleep. The energy flowing between the two of us was incredible.
After attending the course I now feel confident to give horses Reiki and am looking forward to the Advanced Course!"

"I found the course very valuable. As a Reiki Master/Teacher being able to practice on horses I did not know was excellent and improved my confidence greatly. My main interests lie in Soul Rescue and Retrieval and Dream Working - hence the chance that I was very grateful for the chance to work with both Toby and the little bay filly (I am really glad that Toby finally woke up). "I thoroughly enjoyed the course and thought it was presented very sensitively and professionally. The atmosphere created was very warm and friendly and very calm and peaceful. 6 people was probably about the right number.
As someone who doesn't ride a horse or have much experience of horses the balance was just right - I felt perfectly safe and supported by the facilitators when I was close to the horses but also sufficiently challenged to learn.
It was a pleasure to be able to go right into the stables and be close to the horses as on several other courses I have attended for animal healing (not reiki) everything has been done at a distance which misses the contact and interaction.

"I thoroughly enjoyed the Basic Equine Reiki Course and I would like to take this opportunity to thank Sarah (and her sister, Vicky) for a lovely day.
Sarah not only has a gift for healing, but also for welcoming and putting people at ease. The course was very well planned and, at all times throughout the day, I felt I was in very good hands.
The facitlites at 'Epona Equine Reiki Centre' were excellent, as too were the horses that we practiced on. I was in serious doubt that I would be able to 'feel' anything and was totally amazed at the 'enegy feedback' that I received from each horse.
The whole experience has given me a confidence boost, not only to try and 'heal' my own horse (who had been giving me some very strange looks prior to the course) but also to try and help my friend's stallion, who self harms.
I know that I am on the bottom rungs of the Reiki ladder, but the Reiju Empowerments, that I received from Sarah, had a huge impact upon me. I still have many questions about Reiki but the Basic Equine Reiki Course has made me feel so much more positive about believing in my own ability to use my Reiki skills.

"Another wonderful day at Epona Equine Reiki Centre. Everything on this day was running very harmoniously - even the sun was giving it's best - and the whole atmosphere was peaceful and tranquil. Sarah and Vicky created the perfect setting, always there to lend a hand or answer questions. I really appreciated the open discussion about horse behaviour and handling. Through sharing our experiences I found new ways of interacting with horses.
The horses were more than obliging on the day. They seemed to know when I became uncertain and started to send me into the right direction. One horse literally positioned himself exactly where he wanted me to treat him. He was quite fidgety before hand but as soon as I had started to send Reiki to his preferred spot he calmed right down and dozed off. The connection with this particular horse became very strong. It felt like a conversation on an emotional level.

"I went on the course because I wanted to include horses in my Reiki work but have no hands on experience. I enjoyed the course very much and the company and knowledge of the group I learned with.
I felt very comfortable with your teaching style, as it didn't make me feel left out, being inexperienced with horses, and gave me confidence to be close to the horses you chose for me to be with.
Toby, the first horse I reikied was a very special experience in many ways. The peace of the stables, being outside, being up close to a horse, the snuffling noises and sighing. Also being trusted (the horse and me) to be left on our own.
I felt a connection immediately and felt very privileged that he stood so still and let me practise on him. Those feelings will stay with me for a long time. Toby gave me something special back.
Pancho I Reikied untied in his stable. I found this a bit more daunting and it took me longer to connect to him as he was moving about and I was having to watch where he was going. After a while he settled down nuzzled my hands and I managed to relax enough to connect to him. My hands became very hot and I felt a heavy weight between them like I was supporting him physically.
I felt very welcome and you and your sister were very supportive and helpful as well as giving me the space and time to learn.
As a first introduction to horses it was a very positive experience. I had a fantastic day. I came away with a big smile on my face and whenever I think about that day the smile returns."

"I thoroughly enjoyed the course. There was ample time and very clear guidance given to enable course delegates to practice Reiki on a variety of horses in a safe environment. Everyone made us feel very welcome and we were well looked after throughout the day. "Wow!! I enjoyed everything about this course. The location was peaceful, tranquil and charming. I was made to feel welcome and Sarah's warmth of personality shone from the time I set foot in The Hacienda.
Sarah's induction was professional and I felt she covered all aspects of safety around the horses. The experiences I felt using Reiki were powerful and will stay with me for the rest of my life!!
I felt I had a healing energy but didn't know how to apply it and Reiki has enforced this. I have noticed a difference in my horses attitude, without me using Reiki, they can feel that I have taken my life to another level. I used Reiki three days after I got back on them, they both seemed very relaxed and better doing road work. Spooking seems a thing of the past!! thank goodness.

"I thought the course was wonderful and I'm very proud to display my certificate on my office wall. I especially enjoyed the attunements as it has been some time since I passed my Reiki 2 course. I also thought the horses were wonderful too, so calm and gentle. They really helped me build my confidence around horses. The venue was perfect too as you yourself Sarah.
I definately want to do the level 2 course. I felt I noticed a difference when I went to the stables last week and felt very calm on a hack, even when we came across a group of quad bikes in a field. As I told you I just knew one end of the horse from the other - and despite that I was able to handle not one but two horses - Toby and Pancha - it was a great feeling! I was a bit apprehensive when I arrived but after you and your sister showed us how to handle the horse and make them listen to you - all my apprehensions disappeared! When I told my family and friends that I not only handled Toby but also put the collar and gave him Reiki and the 2nd time round gave Reiki to Pancha in his stable without him being tied up, they just couldn't believe me!

"The day with Sarah was great. The class space was lovely and warm, clean and welcoming. Lovely music softly playing, tea magically appearing and a very genuine friendly atmosphere.
The time we spent with the horses was great too- very nice facilities, safe horses suitable for people of all levels of horse experience and generous teaching and attention from Sarah.
The Reiju Empowerments were really beautiful, with a shared experiences throughout the group of bright white light during the final one.

"First of all I thoroughly enjoyed the course. I felt welcome and at home right from the beginning of the day. I learned a great deal about Reiki around horses and gained alot of confidence in my own ability to do it. I particularly liked the 'free in the stable' way of working. I did this with Pancho and am still feeling what he was giving me! The lovely calm atmosphere of the yard was wonderful.

"I really enjoyed my Equine Reiki training course. I thought the staff were very friendly and welcoming and the horses were lovely, very well behaved and I felt completely safe with the ones that I worked with. The yard has a nice feel about it.

"I had really enjoyed the Basic course with Sarah and Vicky some months earlier, and felt ready to move on to new experiences (and what an experience it turned out to be!). I have taught and worked with Reiki for many years, but very little with Horses (about 15 Hrs including the 1st course !!) and I have not ridden or owned a Horse, but felt drawn to working with them.
The Advanced course was just as informal, relaxing, practical, hands-on (and off ) as the Level one, but the powerful attunement linked to the Horses presence makes a huge difference.
I felt empowered yet peaceful throughout and at the last session of the day Sarah and Vicky invited me to work with Oceano, a large and frustrated Stallion! (He had injured himself and was on box rest). Working in the Stable, it took about 15 mins, but we eventually made a healing connection, I felt his Aura, his Chakras, and had a visualisation of me sitting on his back. We both stood there suspended in time.
A very, very special moment for both of us!
The day spent at Epona has inspired me carry on with this work and develop a client base in the North West. So if you are thinking of working with Horses and Reiki, don't hesitate to try out The Epona Centre first."

"I LOVED the course - probably the best day I have had in a while! The experiences were amazing, I felt a real connection with the horses and it seemed as if I was able to view a MRI type scan image of the horses anatomy. Very odd I know.
I felt very safe around all the horses and never felt nervous as I know people can do. This was both due to the horses being so calm and also the confidence you gave me by the first part of the course involving the basic horse handling.
The instruction was so good it has got to be some of the best instruction I have ever had - and I've had loads of training in the past. The course was extremely well structured and pitched at the right level with a steady progression throughout the day.
I honestly can't think of anything that could be improved about the day - even the continuous cups of tea were really delicious - so much so that I have been drinking the same tea myself now everyday at work!!! :-) The course has given me the confidence to help a friend with her horse - so that to me is the best way to prove how good the course was!"

"I thoroughly enjoyed the 14th and came away feeling very energised and up! Sarah and Vicky give a warm welcome as do their horses. I felt completely safe, comfortable and relaxed all day. "The course was excellent. The pace was just right, starting with the energy flowing through the empowerments, which is always a lovely way to bring the group together.
The demonstration of how to understand and deal with a horses body language was very useful for me and we had plenty of time to work with the energy with horses, discuss our experiences and use that to work again. It was very useful to work on the younger horses in the afternoon too.
The information on Chakras, looking at them and working on eachothers' and the horses' was helpful and gives a very useful additional focus to help with a treatment, giving a potentially wider indication of problems. It is a very special place to learn and be and Sarah and Vicky are so welcoming and very accomplished Equine Reiki people."

"Every element of this course was exemplary. As soon as I discovered the Epona Equine Reiki website I knew in my heart that the next steps on my Reiki path were laid out in front of me.
On the day I just knew I was exactly where I was supposed to be and everything felt "right". Having the course manual sent out in advance is such a good idea, allowing students to be well prepared. The content was well presented and very clear.
The day itself was excellent in all respects. Sarah was very welcoming and everyone was instantly put at ease. The timetable for the day was well thought out and packed with practical elements. Health and Safety aspects of working around and with horses was well covered, with Vicky quietly assisting those with less experience and giving them confidence. The Reiju Empowerments were beautiful and deeply peaceful.
The stars of the show, the equine teachers, also demonstrated great patience and were a joy to be with. The practical sessions were well explained beforehand and there was no feeling of being rushed, people could work at their own pace. There was time for students to share their experiences after each element and to ask questions. I particularly liked the music playing softly in the background whilst we offered Reiki to the horses.
